In this role, you will:
- Develop, test, and release high-quality web video experiences in a timely manner
- Maintain strong attention to detail and quality, aligning with high engineering standards
- Adapt quickly to evolving business and customer needs in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with developers, designers, QA, and product teams to deliver features aligned with the product roadmap
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies and best practices
- Contribute innovative ideas and solutions that balance speed, scalability, and long-term sustainability
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
- Support additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer focused on web video and streaming applications
- Strong understanding of video performance and reliability, including startup time, buffering, bitrate adaptation, and playback differences across devices
- Experience with autoplay policies, error handling, fallback strategies, and QoE metrics
- Hands-on experience implementing video advertising (pre-roll, mid-roll, post-roll)
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive/adaptive design
- Experience in web accessibility and performance optimization
- Familiarity with CDNs such as Akamai or Fastly
- Experience with version control (GitHub/GitLab) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in complex environments
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP)
- Comfortable working in Linux environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
