Software Engineer – Web Video & Streaming

In this role, you will:

• Develop, test, and release high-quality web video experiences in a timely manner
• Maintain strong attention to detail and quality, aligning with high engineering standards
• Adapt quickly to evolving business and customer needs in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with developers, designers, QA, and product teams to deliver features aligned with the product roadmap
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies and best practices
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions that balance speed, scalability, and long-term sustainability
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Support additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer focused on web video and streaming applications
• Strong understanding of video performance and reliability, including startup time, buffering, bitrate adaptation, and playback differences across devices
• Experience with autoplay policies, error handling, fallback strategies, and QoE metrics
• Hands-on experience implementing video advertising (pre-roll, mid-roll, post-roll)
• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive/adaptive design
• Experience in web accessibility and performance optimization
• Familiarity with CDNs such as Akamai or Fastly
• Experience with version control (GitHub/GitLab) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in complex environments
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP)
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
