Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Agents to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position that offers the flexibility to work from home. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the freight industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

- Act as the main point of contact for clients and carriers, managing all aspects of the shipping process

- Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure cost-effective solutions for clients

- Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers

- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner

- Utilize our transportation management system to manage and track shipments

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and best practices

- Collaborate with other team members to continuously improve processes and efficiency

- Meet and exceed performance metrics and goals set by the company

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the freight industry, preferably in a sales or customer service role

- Strong understanding of transportation modes, including truckload, LTL, and intermodal

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Proficient in using transportation management systems and other relevant software

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
