Job Title: Nutrition Nurse

Location: Kabul enhancement center

Time Frame: Till December 31st, 2025

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• Preferably with a medical background, diploma or short courses in nutrition with two years of experience in nutrition interventions will be counted as bachelor's degree
• At least two years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in nutrition interventions, implementations, monitoring and reporting
• Experience in collecting and compiling quantitative and qualitative data is an asset
• Experience working in a humanitarian context is an asset
• Experience working with UN or NGO programmes/project is an asset.

Tasks to be performed:

Maternal Nutrition and Infant and Young Child Nutrition Counselling:

• Planning, organizing and giving nutrition education to caregivers of children receiving nutrition services.
  
• Identify caregivers with children 0-24 months and non-breastfeeding children receiving nutrition education.
• Encourage mother with infant less than 6 six months to breastfeeding their children exclusively on breastmilk.
• Giving specific cousenling to the mohter of SAM ad MAM children regading propoer complementary feeding in different stages of life.
• Counseling to pregnant and lactating women for getting additional food.
• Encouraging mothers to receive iron Folic Acid (IFA) during lactation and pregnancy at their pint of destination.
• Distribution of Social Behavioral Change communication flyers to pregnant and lactating women and caregivers such as multisectoral IEC tailored and breastfeeding message leaflets.
• Regula update of files (Tali sheets, report forms) and submission of the report daily.
• Provision of Vitamin A supplements and deworming tablets.
• Distribution of Vitamin A supplements to children 6-59 months and deworming tablets to children aged 34-59 months. 
• Regular update of files (tall sheets, report forms) and submission of the report daily.
