Job Title: Nutrition Counselor

Location: Torkham - 2, Nangarhar {Nangarhar Regional Hospital, Fatimato Zahra Provincial Hospital} - 2, Laghman {Laghman Provincial Hospital} - 1, Kunar {Kunar Provincial Hospital} - 1. 

Duration: September 2026

Minimum Requirements & Qualification:

Nutrition Counsellor: 

TASKs to be Performed

• Provide Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), Growth Monitoring Promotion and maternal nutrition Counselling to all mothers with SAM/MAM children
• Raise Nutrition education to pregnant and lactating mothers of children receiving nutrition services.
• Promote hygiene best practices through group discussion at ZP and RC
• Provide nutrition and psychosocial support to the mothers and caregivers at ZP and RC
• Provide regular health and nutrition education to the mothers and caregivers
• Provide specific counselling to the mothers of SAM children aged 6-69months on complementary feeding.
• Promote maternal nutrition among PLWs by regular MIYCN counselling DELIVERABLE(s)

Requirements 

• Graduated from Nursing/ Midwifery/ or any other medical institute.
• Having at least 1-2years working experience in nutrition program (OPD SAM/MAM and GMP).
• Received IMAM and MIYCN training.
• Have good communication skill both Pashto and Dari
• Should be local staff from the same province.
• Female should have Maharam.
