Job Title: Field Monitoring Assistant
Duty Station: One staff member each in District Khyber and District Kurram
Duration: 20th April – 30th June 2026
Background and Purpose of the Assignment:
The staff is required to support field based monitoring and coordination of Client's Emergency Response to Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) in district Kurram/Khyber. The incumbent will be based in the district under the direct supervision of M&E officer at client Peshawar Office.
Client, in coordination with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has initiated multipurpose cash assistance for around 3,000 TDP households (tentatively 24000 people) who have been displaced from their villages to different parts of district Khyber and Kurram as well as to the adjacent settled districts. While client has contracted a cooperating partner for overall project implementation, the position plays a critical role serving as a primary layer of monitoring to ensure allocated resources reach the intended beneficiaries in an accountable and transparent manner.
Duration: 20th April to 30th June 2026
Accountability/Key Deliverables:
- Verify the beneficiary targeting (i.e., beneficiary registration and related activities) as per Client envisaged standards and eligibility criteria established for the project.
- Perform monitoring of cash disbursements by the Financial Service Providers' agents and social mobilization activities conducted by the CP.
- Perform purposive monitoring visits to follow-up on critical issues surfaced through internal and external sources i.e., Client beneficiary feedback mechanism, government authorities, UN coordination office etc.
- Collate project output data in accordance guidance from client Peshawar Office to support programme reviews and informed decision-making.
- Document the benefits of client interventions on target communities i.e., Food Security Outcome Monitoring, end of project assessment etc.
- Attend district level coordination meetings as and when required by client, especially with the district government, and accordingly share key takeaways with client provincial office Peshawar.
- Prepare and timely share the field monitoring reports to document quality of programme implementation, issues, challenges and suggested wayforward.
- Any other monitoring relevant task assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Experience: Secondary school education as minimum qualification however, preference will be given to master's degree holders with at least three years' relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in Ms-office applications
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with beneficiaries and the district authorities
- Knowledge of local context/geographic areas etc is mandatory
Salary and Remuneration: PKR 120,000 per month gross salary inclusive of all allowances except field travel.
Field Allowance: PKR 4,000 per field day (weekends and off-days will be exempted). Staff member him/herself will be responsible for the logistics/vehicle arrangement within allocated field allowance.
DSA will be applicable as per Client policy for non-UN personnel and will be reimbursed for preapproved official travel and overnight stay out of the assigned district.
