Optical Network (ON) Engineer - L2

We are hiring for one of our telecom clients, a leading organisation delivering advanced optical and telecom network solutions with career growth opportunities in a professional telecom environment.

Job Description ;

• Proficient in one or more of DWDM, SDH, MSTP/OTN/MS-OTN, and NMS
• Experienced in optical network implementation, project delivery, maintenance, and engineering
• Familiar with commissioning of DWDM, SDH, MSTP, and MPLS equipment and features of optical network protection, ASON, MPLS, and data (OSN 9800 M12/M24/U32/U64, OSN1800V/VPRO)
• Expertise in Migration/Cutover scenarios (SDH-OTN/Other vendors to OTN), service cutover/FOADM to ROADM/OLA to ROADM, ASON complex solutions, CDC, Node insertions, and service migrations on NCE/NMS
• Successful project delivery under pressure and challenging environments; ability to comply with work arrangements (on duty during holidays, temporary emergency overtime)
• Perform as an Integration and Commissioning Engineer, Service Re-routing, and Service Migration Engineer
• Identify network risks and deficiencies, seek help promptly, and develop solution plans

Qualification & Experience ;

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, or Computer Science.
• 3 - 4 years of experience in a related field
• Risk awareness and problem management capability
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
