Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef for our Hotel Industry to support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. The role involves supervising the kitchen team, monitoring food costs and wastage, and ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently during Chef's absence
  • Quality and presentation of dishes are consistently high
  • Food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
  • Menus are planned and developed to meet customer preferences
  • New dishes are introduced regularly and meet quality standards
  • Menu items are costed and priced correctly
  • Kitchen team is trained and performing to expected standards
  • Team members are motivated and have opportunities for growth
  • Communication and feedback are clear and effective

Education & Experience :

  • 4 to 6 years of Experience
  • Intermediate in Arts

Behavioral Skill: 

  • Leadership: Ability to lead and support kitchen team
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Communication: Effective communication with kitchen team, Chef, and other departments

Technical Skill:

  • Menu Planning: Knowledge of menu planning and development
  • Inventory Management: Ability to manage inventory and control costs
  • Kitchen Operations: Expertise in kitchen operations and workflow management
