Job Summary:


 The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production machines, ensuring products meet quality standards, and achieving daily production targets. The role includes machine setup, basic troubleshooting, maintaining production records, following all SOPs, supporting maintenance activities, and working closely with the Quality team. The operator also assists in training junior staff, maintains a safe and organized work environment, and contributes to process improvements for efficiency and quality.



Job Description: 

  • Switch on the Header Department chiller before starting machine operations.
  • Ensure all machine switches and heating systems are turned on to reach and maintain the required temperature.
  • Clean the machine thoroughly before starting production.
  • Must wear PPEs as required.
  • Perform line clearance after each job before starting a new one.
  • After the machine reaches the required heating level, take 2–3 short punching trials; if the results meet quality standards, begin full production.
  • Check tube quality parameters such as detachment, short molding, flashes, and other defects.
  • If any issue is found, inspect the machine; if the problem is not resolved, immediately inform the Technical Manager.
  • Conduct initial trial tubes and get quality approval/samples before starting mass production.
  • Assist in machine changeovers as required.
  • Follow all departmental health and safety standards.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping, cleaning of machine parts, and maintaining 5S standards.
  • After production, hand over all rejected material to the scrap area and report to the HOD after counting and segregating all defects.
  • Ensure production is carried out according to the target and machine efficiency standards.
  • Operate and monitor production machines as per SOPs.
  • Perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting with guidance.
  • Achieve production targets while maintaining required product quality.
  • Report machine breakdowns, process deviations, and quality issues promptly.
    
    Qualification & Experience:
  • Matriculation / Intermediate (Technical diploma preferred)
  • 1–2 years production experience-
  •  Knowledge of machine  quality standards, and SOPs
  • Problem-solving, teamwork, and documentation skills

Trainings:

  • Orientation on company policies, safety rules, and environmental guidelines.
  • Detailed training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to machine operation and production processes.
  • Basic training on quality inspection methods and defect identification.
  • Hands-on training in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Training on production reporting
  • Preventive maintenance awareness.
