Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Developer to own and drive the delivery of complex marketing technology and development projects. This role blends hands-on coding with technical leadership, ensuring high-quality execution across a wide range of projects: from funnel building and high-converting landing pages, to Shopify/WooCommerce store builds, backend/API solutions, CRO implementations, and VSL integrations.
You will manage and mentor a team of ~8 developers, enforce clear processes (SOPs, checklists, QA standards), and serve as the bridge between technical execution and business needs. The ideal candidate is an experienced full-stack developer with strong organizational and communication skills who thrives in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
Key Responsibilities

Project Ownership & Delivery

Lead end-to-end delivery of development projects: funnels, e-commerce stores (Shopify, WooCommerce), APIs, tracking systems, CRO implementations, and custom backend solutions.

Build, optimize, and troubleshoot landing pages, funnels, and marketing integrations with a focus on conversion performance.

Architect scalable, reliable backend and frontend solutions to support marketing campaigns and client operations.

Team Leadership

Manage and mentor a team of 8 developers, ensuring clarity, accountability, and process compliance.

Develop and enforce SOPs, technical checklists, and QA procedures to guarantee smooth launches and minimize errors.

Provide technical guidance and code reviews while fostering growth and collaboration within the team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Translate business requirements into clear technical roadmaps.

Collaborate closely with marketing, design, and operations teams to align technical builds with campaign goals.

Communicate proactively with project managers and leadership, ensuring visibility and no gaps in delivery.

Implement best practices in version control, CI/CD, testing, and documentation.

Ensure projects launch on time with full stakeholder visibility and robust technical infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience
-
6+ years of professional web development experience, with strong backend and frontend expertise.

Proficiency in:

Backend: PHP, Laravel, REST APIs, MySQL.

Frontend: React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (advanced DOM and tracking implementations).

CMS/E-commerce: Shopify (custom apps, store builds), WooCommerce, WordPress.

Marketing Tech: Google Tag Manager (client- & server-side), tracking pixels, analytics integrations.

Proven track record of leading or managing development teams (5+ people preferred).

Strong experience in funnel building, CRO-driven landing pages, and performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, A/B testing).

Experience building and integrating custom APIs and marketing automation workflows.

Excellent communication skills able to train devs, explain technical concepts clearly, and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills with ability to enforce processes and lead by example.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with server-side GTM, Tealium, or similar tag management systems.

Familiarity with A/B testing (Convert.com) and personalization platforms.
