Were seeking an Intermediate Accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates strong technical and analytical skills, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare BAS/IAS, financial statements, and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs, and individuals.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and post year-end journals in accordance with accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation and lodgement of ATO and ASIC reports, payroll, superannuation, and payment summaries.
• Support senior staff with client correspondence, WIP analysis, and billing drafts.
• Conduct tax computations including GST, FBT, PAYG, CGT, and small business tax matters.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, management reports, and other accounting records.
• Communicate directly with clients, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and strong relationship management.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in Australian tax legislation and accounting standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Strong understanding of Australian tax laws, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, Solution 6, BGL Simple Fund, and Microsoft Excel/Word.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team.
