Position: AP / Appointed Person

Location: Limerick, Ireland.

We also provide skilled personnel including riggers, crane drivers, welders, and engineers to meet project demands. Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the planning and execution of lifting operations on-site

  • Produce and sign off lift plans, risk assessments, and method statements in line with project and regulatory requirements

  • Ensure all lifting operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with legislation and site procedures

  • Coordinate and liaise with crane operators, rigging teams, supervisors, and project managers

  • Conduct site surveys to determine lifting requirements, ground conditions, and equipment suitability

  • Select appropriate lifting equipment, ensuring all gear is certified, inspected, and fit for use

  • Brief lifting teams and lead pre-lift meetings, toolbox talks, and safety checks

  • Monitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with approved lift plans and make adjustments where necessary

  • Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, incidents, and equipment inspections

  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all lifting operations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Appointed Person (AP) certification (CPCS, CSCS, or equivalent)

  • Safe Pass and relevant health and safety training/certifications

  • Minimum of 35 years experience in lifting operations, including experience in supervisory or planning roles

  • In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment, techniques, and industry regulations

  • Proven ability to produce detailed lift plans and risk assessments

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure and make safe, effective decisions in dynamic site conditions
