Position: Pipe Fitting Lead / Chargehand
Location: Carrigtwohill, Cork.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of pipe fitting teams on-site to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification

Read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs to guide installation and assembly of piping systems

Ensure correct materials, tools, and equipment are available and used in accordance with project requirements

Oversee fabrication, installation, alignment, and testing of piping systems including stainless steel, carbon steel, and high-purity lines
-
Monitor workmanship to maintain high quality standards and compliance with client specifications
-
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and quality teams to identify and resolve issues promptly
-
Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to site safety protocols
-
Maintain accurate records of daily work progress, manpower, and materials used
-
Mentor and support less experienced fitters, promoting continuous improvement and skill development
-
Report progress, challenges, and quality concerns to the Mechanical Supervisor or Site Manager
Qualifications:

Qualified Pipe Fitter or equivalent trade certification
-
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in pipe fitting, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or chargehand role

Strong technical understanding of pipe fabrication, installation, and testing procedures

Ability to read and interpret drawings, isometrics, and specifications accurately

Familiarity with high-purity systems, orbital welding, and cleanroom standards (an advantage)

Proven leadership, coordination, and communication skills

Safe Pass and relevant site safety certifications

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure

Strong teamwork ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving
