Position: Rigging Supervisor

Location: Limerick, Cork

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all rigging activities on-site, ensuring safe and efficient operations
• Plan and oversee the lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy equipment and materials
• Interpret lifting plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide rigging operations
• Ensure proper selection, inspection, and use of rigging gear and lifting equipment
• Lead and direct rigging teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• Liaise with crane operators, engineers, and site supervisors to coordinate lifting schedules and logistics
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments prior to rigging operations
• Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, equipment inspections, and incident reports
• Troubleshoot rigging issues and implement effective solutions to maintain productivity and safety
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the rigging crew

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 35 years of experience as a Rigger, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
• Valid rigging certification and strong knowledge of rigging techniques, lifting plans, and equipment
• Safe Pass and other relevant site safety training/certifications
• Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and lifting plans
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations for lifting operations
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding site conditions
