The Role

We are currently seeking experienced OHG Crane Drivers to support ongoing and upcoming projects in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of overhead gantry cranes, supporting lifting operations in live industrial and construction environments.

This is a hands-on, safety-critical role suited to professionals who take pride in precision, compliance, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate overhead gantry (OHG) cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.

  • Carry out pre-use inspections and daily equipment checks.

  • Lift, move, position and secure loads as per lifting plans and supervisor instructions.

  • Communicate clearly with slingers, signallers and site management during lifting operations.

  • Identify and report defects, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately.

  • Ensure all lifting activities comply with company policies, site rules and UK safety regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and operations where required.

  • Support general site activities when crane operations are not in progress.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Valid OHG / Overhead Crane Operator certification (essential).

  • Proven experience operating OHG cranes on industrial or construction sites.

  • Strong understanding of lifting operations, load charts and safe working practices.

  • Safe Pass/CSR/CCNSG – required.

  • Manual Handling certification (preferred).

  • Good level of spoken and written English.

  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, overtime or weekends if required.
