MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST LEAD

In this role, the Medical Technologist Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, including performing and supervising a variety of laboratory tests and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience working as a Medical Technologist. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the daily operations of the laboratory, including scheduling and assigning tasks to laboratory staff - Perform and supervise a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank - Ensure accuracy and quality control of all laboratory testing and results - Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments - Train and mentor laboratory staff on new procedures and protocols - Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results - Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies - Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards - Participate in continuing education and stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field - Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a recognized accrediting agency - Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Medical Technologist - Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred - Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and instruments - Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Familiarity with laboratory information systems and electronic health records - Must be able to work flexible hours and on-call as needed We offer competitive salary and benefits packages, as well as opportunities for career growth and development.
