Key Responsibilities: - Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood tests, urinalysis, and microbiological cultures, accurately and efficiently - Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration - Prepare and analyze samples, recording and reporting results to medical staff - Maintain accurate records and documentation of all tests performed - Follow established protocols and safety procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information - Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain the highest standards of laboratory testing - Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical technology and participate in continuing education to maintain ASCP certification - Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, at all times Requirements: - Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field - ASCP certification required - Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Technician in a hospital or clinical setting - Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and terminology - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
