JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

Full-Time

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist candidates will have the ollowng job responsibilities:

• Demonstrate the ability to perform contrast media administration according to age- and weight-specific guidelines.
• Set up sterile trays and maintain a sterile field according to hospital protocol.
• Scrub and assist the interventional physician during interventional procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of drugs, including their actions, side effects, and contraindications for administration.
• Exhibit the ability to start and maintain IV access. Accurately follow physician orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.
• Properly measure and dispose of radioactive waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

Full-Time

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist candidates must meet the following minimimum job qualifications:

• Current license or registry certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI),
• OR Current license or registry from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)].
• BLS certification required.
• Completion of ACLS training within six months of hire.
• Strong interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a Cath Lab or EP Lab preferred.
• New graduates of RCIS programs will also be considered.
• Shift Requirements: Monday - Friday (4, 10 Hour Shifts) - Rotating Call Coverage - Between 8-10 Call Days per Month)
