We are looking for a Modern Trade Channel Manager who will be responsible for commercial execution, key account development, and leading a channel sales team within the modern retail channel, working closely with the Sales Manager and cross-functional departments.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Sales Execution

  • Implement annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with overall commercial strategy
  • Monitor sales targets, trade investments, and performance indicators
  • Support revenue and margin growth within the assigned channel

Key Account Development

  • Manage relationships with major retail partners
  • Prepare and support commercial negotiations and cooperation agreements
  • Ensure execution of agreed trade conditions, listings, and promotional activities

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Key Account / Sales Representatives
  • Define individual KPIs and monitor performance through regular reviews
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented team culture

Trade & Commercial Planning

  • Coordinate trade marketing initiatives, in-store activations, and promotional calendars
  • Monitor channel budgets and trade spend efficiency
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Finance to align forecasts and campaign execution

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Sales Manager, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams
  • Support product launches and seasonal planning activities
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination across departments

Market Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track competitor activities, pricing, and customer trends
  • Prepare structured sales and performance reports
  • Provide insights and improvement recommendations based on data analysis

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field

Experience

  • 3–6+ years of experience in FMCG, retail, or distribution sales environments
  • Proven exposure to Modern Trade / Key Account Management
  • Experience in managing or mentoring a small sales team is an advantage

Skills

  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset
  • Advanced negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and CRM / ERP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
