Medical Advisor Oncology
A fast-growing international pharmaceutical company, focused on enabling access to highly innovative therapies for patients suffering from rare and severe diseases, is currently seeking a Medical Advisor Oncology to support its expanding medical team in Slovenia.
As Medical Advisor Oncology, you will serve as a key member of the country medical team, primarily focusing on field-based activities and external stakeholder engagement. You will support medical-scientific communication with healthcare professionals, contribute to medical education initiatives, and help ensure the successful implementation of medical strategies aligned with brand objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other stakeholders in the oncology field.
- Act as a scientific expert in oncology, delivering clear and compliant medical information to HCPs.
- Support internal training for field and commercial teams on disease areas and therapeutic innovations.
- Provide medical insights to inform strategic planning, including product launches and life cycle activities.
- Assist in reviewing promotional and non-promotional material in line with internal procedures and local regulations.
- Organize and support scientific events such as advisory boards, medical education programs, and symposiums.
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests and support local patient access programs where applicable.
- Monitor and share competitive intelligence and medical developments in oncology.
- Contribute to local implementation of clinical research activities, including investigator-initiated studies.
- Support local pharmacovigilance and compliance in all medical activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced scientific degree required (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent in a life science discipline).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Previous experience in oncology and an existing network of relevant KOLs is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific information effectively to both internal and external audiences.
- Familiarity with medical compliance, promotional material review, and local regulatory frameworks.
- Experience supporting product launches is a plus.
- Fluent in English & Slovene
- Willingness to travel regularly within the country.
