We are currently seeking a B and C level technician to start their career in our dealer group. The Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in compliance with dealer and factory standards. This person will be detail oriented, committed to the highest quality standards, and dedicated to doing the job right the first time.

Additionally, while the technician does not typically interface directly with customers, it is important that he understands that everything that occurs in the dealership does so to increase sales. This being the case, when he sees opportunities to suggest additional service or accessories, he should make the service assistant or manager aware of them so they can be communicated to the customer for approval. He must participate in a Sales Culture in his department, understanding that the most important thing that happens in the dealership is putting cash in the register while putting smiles on the faces of the customers. Every action, attitude, display, product, and service in the dealership is solely for this purpose.

They must foster this attitude in themself and those around them so that over time it is truly a natural atmosphere or culture in the department.

Following are specific duties of the Technician:

  • Receive repair orders from the Service Assistant/ Manager, review customers' complaints, and bring units into the stall area.
  • Perform MPI of the unit noting any found issues or safety concerns.
  • Accurately diagnose customers' original complaints.
  • Write estimates for critical repairs along with repairs of original complaint. Then turn in R.O. to the original service writer for customer authorization.
  • Once R.O. received perform customer authorized repairs efficiently and accurately, in compliance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Once repairs are complete verify repair with proper after repair testing steps.
  • Willing to attend online and in person factory-sponsored training classes and be certified with factory technical bulletins when required.
  • Ensure that customers units are kept clean and protected from cosmetic and mechanical damage.
  • Keep the shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Attend all required store and department meetings.
  • Follow department guidelines for efficiency, policies and code of conduct

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
