Department: Norton King's Daughters' Health(Med Surg)

Shift Timings: 19:00-07:30 Hours 3 days 12 hour shift (Monday- Friday)

Per Week: 36 Hours.

​Top Diagnosis/Procedures: COPD, CHF, pneumonia, bariatric surgery, cervical/lumbar surgery, chest pain, general surgery
​Age groups served: adolescent, adult and geriatric
​# of Beds: 30, also a 6 bed overflow unit
​Ancillary Staff: Yes
Computerized Charting: Meditech​

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Minimum Qualifications

​Required: BLS, ACLS and NIH, be able to read telemetry

Required Skills Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Traveler Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Work Authorization

• Green Card
• US Citizen

Certifications & Clearance Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• The National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
