About the job Machinery Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Attend to urgent breakdown repairs and recovery of various operational equipment, including boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, generators, and air compressors.
- Execute routine servicing and comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespans.
- Utilize technical expertise to diagnose and rectify complex faults across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure all machinery meets safety and performance standards before reaching the client.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of all maintenance work, parts replaced, and inspections performed using our internal reporting system.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a Nitec or Higher Nitec in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to interpret technical manuals and circuit diagrams. Prior experience operating heavy industrial machinery is highly advantageous.
- A positive, "can-do" attitude with a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
- A valid Class 3 driving license is preferred to facilitate site visits and equipment transport.
- While we welcome junior applicants, Senior positions are available for candidates with significant industry experience. Salary packages will be commensurate with your level of expertise.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
