About the job Machinery Mechanic

Responsibilities

  • Attend to urgent breakdown repairs and recovery of various operational equipment, including boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, generators, and air compressors.
  • Execute routine servicing and comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespans.
  • Utilize technical expertise to diagnose and rectify complex faults across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure all machinery meets safety and performance standards before reaching the client.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of all maintenance work, parts replaced, and inspections performed using our internal reporting system.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of a Nitec or Higher Nitec in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to interpret technical manuals and circuit diagrams. Prior experience operating heavy industrial machinery is highly advantageous.
  • A positive, "can-do" attitude with a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
  • A valid Class 3 driving license is preferred to facilitate site visits and equipment transport.
  • While we welcome junior applicants, Senior positions are available for candidates with significant industry experience. Salary packages will be commensurate with your level of expertise.

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
