Position Overview We are seeking an exceptional Corporate Strategy Associate to join our client's strategic planning and corporate development team for a high-impact 1-2 year rotational assignment. This role provides direct exposure to senior executive leadership and Board-level strategic decision-making, offering investment banking professionals an accelerated pathway into corporate development within a leading fintech platform. The successful candidate will drive critical strategic analysis, market intelligence, and corporate development initiatives that directly influence multi-million dollar business decisions and long-term corporate strategy.

Strategic Responsibilities

Corporate Development & Strategic Planning

  • Lead development of comprehensive strategic presentations and analytical materials for executive leadership team and Board of Directors, focusing on growth initiatives, market expansion opportunities, and competitive positioning
  • Conduct sophisticated financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development to support strategic decision-making and capital allocation decisions
  • Support evaluation of potential merger, acquisition, and strategic partnership opportunities through detailed market analysis, financial due diligence, and integration planning
  • Develop long-term strategic roadmaps and business plans that align with corporate objectives and drive sustainable growth across our client's global platform

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Execute in-depth internal and external data analysis to identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities within the fintech and electronic trading ecosystem
  • Transform complex datasets from multiple business units into clear, actionable strategic insights using advanced analytical frameworks, financial models, and data visualization techniques
  • Monitor and analyze industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological innovations that impact our client's strategic positioning and growth trajectory
  • Develop comprehensive competitive intelligence reports and market assessments to inform strategic planning and business development initiatives

Cross-Functional Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate extensively with senior stakeholders across trading platforms, technology, product development, sales, and operations to gather critical business intelligence and understand key value drivers
  • Lead strategic project initiatives spanning multiple business units, coordinating complex workstreams and managing stakeholder relationships to deliver high-impact outcomes
  • Interface directly with business unit heads and functional leaders to assess strategic opportunities, operational improvements, and growth acceleration initiatives
  • Support strategic communication efforts, including investor relations materials, Board updates, and external stakeholder presentations

Financial Analysis & Business Intelligence

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate business performance, forecast growth scenarios, and assess strategic investment opportunities
  • Analyze key business metrics, operational KPIs, and financial drivers across our client's diverse client base and product offerings
  • Create executive-level dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide real-time insights into strategic initiatives and business performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes through detailed financial analysis and scenario modeling

Qualifications & Experience

  • MUST HAVE 2+ years of investment banking experience with strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
  • Proven track record in developing high-quality presentations and materials for senior executive audiences
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and business intelligence tools
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling strategic narratives
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple workstreams under tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interface effectively with senior stakeholders
