Position Summary
The IT Vendor Management Office (VMO) Manager is responsible for overseeing the governance, performance, and strategic alignment of IT vendors to ensure delivery of high-quality services and compliance with organizational standards. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal IT stakeholders and external vendors, driving value through effective relationships, risk management, and operational optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Governance & Strategy

Develop and maintain vendor management policies, processes, and and performance frameworks

Align vendor strategy with IT and business objectives to support transformation and efficiency initiatives
Contract & Compliance Management
-
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, with accountability for SLAs and KPIs

Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and risk management requirements
Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Design and implement vendor scorecards and performance metrics
-
Lead quarterly performance reviews and provide insights to leadership
Financial Oversight

Manage vendor financial planning and cost optimization initiatives

Identify opportunities for savings through benchmarking and competitive sourcing
Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the escalation point for vendor issues and resolution

Partner with procurement, legal, and IT teams to manage vendor lifecycle processes
Technology & Tools

Drive automation and continuous improvement in vendor management

Lead or support Vendor Management System (VMS) implementations
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred)

7+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or IT governance
-
Strong knowledge of vendor management tools and service delivery models

Proven negotiation and vendor relationship management expertise

Familiarity with compliance frameworks and governance standards
