Role Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of aircraft through meticulous maintenance practices, strict adherence to regulations, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License with M1 (required); M2 License is an asset
  • Able to obtain a Driving Airside License (D/A)
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Valid Canadian Passport required; must be able to travel abroad unrestricted
  • Current Criminal Record Check required
  • Experience on Beechcraft King Air B200, Pilatus PC12, Pilatus PC24, and Citation 560 is an asset but not required
  • Pilatus PC12 and PC24 experience is an asset — Type Course provided
  • Citation 560 experience is an asset — Training and Type Course provided
  • Strong knowledge of Transport Canada regulations
  • Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training considered an asset

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Inspect and maintain aircraft systems including engines, landing gear, instruments, and electronic systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic issues to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform routine preflight and postflight inspections in compliance with aviation standards and safety regulations
  • Maintain meticulous records of all maintenance, repair, and inspection activities
  • Operate diagnostic equipment to test aircraft structural soundness and systems
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and safe aircraft operations
  • Maintain facilities, tools, and work environments in optimal condition
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or as assigned by management

Working Conditions

  • Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) rotation with all travel expenses paid
  • Work in hangars, repair stations, and airport ramp environments, including direct tarmac exposure in various weather conditions
  • Noisy work environment due to aircraft engines and related machinery
  • Physical activities including lifting, sitting, standing, and climbing; must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure and handling of hazardous materials (fuels, oils, chemicals); proper safety gear and procedures required
