Job Title: Project Manager Payroll & Time & Attendance

Location: Remote (EMEA region (Poland) preferred)

Role Overview

The Project Manager Payroll & Time & Attendance will lead and execute HR technology and operations projects with a focus on payroll systems, time tracking, and related integrations. This role partners closely with HR, IT, and external vendors to ensure successful implementation and alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate has strong experience with payroll systems, Workday, and project management best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with HR, IT, and vendor teams

  • Create and maintain detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, and resources

  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle including requirements gathering, testing, automation, and rollout

  • Track progress, manage risks, and drive projects to completion

Technical & Process Documentation

  • Translate business requirements into technical documentation and process maps

  • Maintain system documentation including integrations and configurations

  • Partner with HR Operations to ensure process consistency and readiness

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Lead cross-functional project teams and facilitate regular meetings

  • Assign responsibilities and ensure accountability

  • Provide project updates, reporting, and presentations to stakeholders

Vendor & System Integration Management

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to deploy and test integrations

  • Ensure connectivity between payroll systems, timekeeping platforms, and Workday

Risk & Change Management

  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans

  • Manage communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle

Skills & Qualifications

Education:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field

Experience:

  • 5+ years of HR project management experience, including payroll projects

  • Hands-on experience with Workday and payroll systems

  • Experience managing system integrations and HR technology implementations

Certifications (Preferred):
PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet)

  • Strong Excel and reporting capabilities

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
