Schedule : Rotation, Day, Night (8 and 12 hours shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.)

Salary: $36.05 to $45.67 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:

Participate in the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of nursing care services in accordance with Vitalité Health Networks philosophy, objectives and policies. Determine the individual needs of surgical patients and their families and meet these needs during the preoperative, intraoperative and immediate postoperative periods.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick;
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience;
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate;
• Certification for delegated medical functions and advanced nursing skills specific to the Surgical Suite or willingness to acquire these within a set timeframe;
• Ability to be at the hospital in less than 20 minutes (by own means) for effective response to call-backs;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Networks management philosophy, and organizational values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
