Registered Nurse Class A (RNCA) – Forensic Psychiatry – Community Reintegration
Prosperity Workforce Solutions is seeking on behalf of our client a Registered Nurse Class A (RNCA) to join the Forensic Psychiatry – Community Reintegration Unit in Campbellton, New Brunswick.
Position Details
- Unit: Forensic Psychiatry – Community Reintegration

- FTE: 1.0
- Schedule: Rotational schedule, consisting of 8- or 12-hour shifts
- Language Requirement: Bilingual essential
Work schedules may be adjusted to meet operational needs.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to meet the individual needs of patients within a forensic psychiatric setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive nursing care based on individual patient needs
- Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
- Developing and implementing appropriate nursing interventions
- Supporting patient safety and quality of care
- Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Contributing to patient safety initiatives
- Working collaboratively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team
- Exercising sound clinical judgment and decision-making within the nursing scope of practice
Qualifications & Certifications
- Registered in good standing with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Successful completion of Prevention and Management of Suicidal Behaviour in a Psychiatric Hospital Setting training, or commitment to complete the course within the required timeframe
- NonViolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) – Advanced Physical Skills (Practical Component) certification, or commitment to complete the training within the required timeframe
- Strong leadership qualities
- Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to adapt effectively to changing situations and patient needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform the assigned duties
- Good previous work history, including satisfactory performance and attendance
- Commitment to professional ethical principles
- Ability to align with the organization's management philosophy and organizational values
