GCP Technical Team Leader with French

Proxiad SEE is an IT consulting and software development company, part of Proxiad Group France. Operating in Bulgaria and North Macedonia, we employ over 250 professionals skilled in various sectors: healthcare, finance, e-commerce and retail, transport & logistics, procurement. We're also the company behind two software solutions for office work – our workplace management software, Desk Buddy, and our performance management software, GROW.

About the project:

In partnership with a major French banking group, we are on a mission to build a team located in Bulgaria and North Macedonia, starting with an opening for a GCP Technical Team Leader with French.

What you will do:

Team leadership

• Lead, mentor and support a team of cloud, DevOps and software engineers, including regular 1:1s, feedback and career development conversations.
• Plan and organize the team's work, set priorities, and make sure delivery is on time and meets quality standards.
• Build a team culture of ownership, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Act as the first escalation point for technical and organizational issues and resolve blockers quickly.

Technical ownership

• Design, build and evolve secure, scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Define and enforce technical standards, architecture decisions and best practices across the team.
• Stay hands-on with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads and platform automation.
• Review code and infrastructure changes, and guide the team on design and implementation choices.
• Own the reliability, observability, security and cost optimization of the platform.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in cloud, DevOps or backend engineering, including at least 2 years leading a technical team with people or delivery responsibility.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform: GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, IAM and VPC networking.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance, for example with Cloud Build, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Monitoring and observability experience with tools such as Cloud Monitoring and Logging, Prometheus or Grafana.
• Scripting or programming skills in Python, Go or Bash.
• Fluent French, both spoken and written (minimum B2/C1).
• Good English for internal communication.
