The Terminal Jr. Manager (Terminal Ops) coordinates with the Port Leads, CY Leads and Transport Leads to manage various aspects of port activities to ensure smooth and efficient port operations. The incumbent oversees day-to-day activities, ensuring consistent compliance with regulations, maintaining safety standards, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Job Description:

  • Supervise day-to-day terminal operations, ensuring that activities run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the Port OIC in checking and validating stocks of container vans in the terminal/port.
  • Get updated on the status and position of vessels, berthing status, estimated time of arrival and departure of vessels.
  • Record and report the actual TEUs loaded in the vessel.
  • Ensure that the cargos and container vans are properly and safely handled in the port.
  • Coordinate with the transport team and ensure that the trucking services follow the PSACC procedures and standards in handling the documents (BL, Invoice, gate pass etc.) and compliance to the port rules and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with port authorities regulations including document processing.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations governing port operations in the Philippines

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a bachelors degree in Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or other related courses.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in vessel operations, port management, or logistics coordination.
  • Familiarity with local port operations, regulations, and customs procedures in the Philippines is advantageous
  • Knowledge of vessel operations, including cargo handling, stowage, and maritime safety protocols
  • Proficiency in route planning and optimization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and compliance with international and local maritime safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using transportation management software, cargo tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • An understanding of Philippine maritime and port regulations, including compliance with regulations set by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA)
  • Excellent organization, and planning skills to proactively manage project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
