Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any Engineering Course
  • Licensed Engineer is a preference
  • With 10 years overall experience with 5 years management experience
  • Accredited Pollution Control Officer or Safety Practitioner by DOLE and/or DENR
  • Knowledge of Safety & Environmental Standards (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
    and local safety/environmental legislation, regulations and code of practices
  • Willing to work in Manila

Reports to: Head of HR Division

Summary of the Role: 

Responsible in leading, developing, implementing and managing the facilities and safety programs & processes for the entire company. It is to ensure maintenance of building facilities, safety & security of the people and company assets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilities Management

  • Supervise the planning for the maintenance and repair activities during the installation and servicing of the building equipment
  • Oversee the security of building and container yard facilities
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas of the offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
  • Schedule routing maintenance on facilities, provide 24/7 emergency repairs and provide the service repairs needed
  • Observe proper safety and security measures for the workplace and ensure employee compliance
  • Delegate, training and manage the day-to-day operations of facilities
  • Maintain reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
  • Collaborate with the building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs

Admin Management

  • Lead the standard clerical duties related to office administration
  • Establish guidelines for facilities and administrative functions
  • Draft and publish official memos and business letters
  • Maintain and order necessary office equipment and supplies, as needed

Health, Environment, Safety and Security

  • Leads in the development of environment and pollution policies, programs, and initiatives ensuring compliance to company and government regulations
  • Facilitate environment and pollution control systems and application audit in operating lines, construction sites, new offices, container yards, and port sites in ensuring compliance with safety and health work
    environment
  • Lead investigations of any violations to the environment and pollution control policies and regulations. Also, provide corrective actions, as needed
  • Develop an OHS & Security policies, programs and initiatives to ensure government and regulation compliance
  • Coordinate with security consultants in conducting security assessment looking into threats and vulnerabilities, security requirements, manning, physical barriers, procedures and equipment
  • Conducts and facilitate security & safety awareness programs on a monthly basis
  • Establish a monitoring system in ensuring the compliance with the HESS policies and guidance

General Duties

  • Create and develop a Facilities and Safety KPIs in measuring the effectivity of employee performance
  • Coaches, mentors and identify applicable training for the developmental needs and job competencies of the people.
  • Maintain reports for the monthly Management Committee
  • Manage the departmental budget on an annual basis
  • Engages the workplace in establishing harmonious relationships and follow the proper implementation of company rules and regulations including discipline, work attendance and the like.
