About the job Tax Analyst

Summary of the Role: The Tax Analyst will support the Supervisor in ensuring that the company's tax compliance and reporting obligations are met including handling BIR audit and participation to ad-hoc advisories and projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Ensures compliance with local tax regulations thru accurate preparation and timely submission of returns (monthly, quarterly, annual) and payment of taxes due (DST, EWT, FWT, WTC, VAT, IT).
-Prepare quarterly tax provisions and deferred tax computations for reporting purposes
-Ensures timely and accurate tax recording and reporting following local GAAP
-Assists the branches in all tax matters and resolves tax-related issues that may arise from time to time.
-Support Tax Supervisor with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

-Must be a Certified Public Accountant
-1 to 2 years experience in handling Monthly, Quarterly and Annual BIR reporting (e.g. DST, VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax,
Percentage Tax, Fringe Benefit Tax, Final Tax, etc.), preferably in big 4 accounting firm.
-With experience in electronic (EFPS) tax filing
-Strong background in National Revenue and Local Taxation Codes
-Experienced using an accounting system, preferably knowledgeable with Netsuite
-Good command of English, with excellent written, oral and presentation skills as well as the ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to non-tax audiences
-Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software
-Ability to solve urgent matters and work under pressure
-Flexibility, especially in the period of month/quarter/year-end closing
-Good interpersonal skills
-Amenable to work onsite
