About the job Head of Procurement

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operational requirements of Procurement and Purchasing activities
  • To provide strategic procurement direction and ensure effective implementation thereof
  • To represent Procurement to internal and external stakeholders in meetings and discussions on topics and concerns related to procurement, sourcing, supplier engagement and performance, purchasing and its staff
  • Can cover for any of Sourcing Lead, their duties and responsibilities, activities, meetings and other business related engagement
  • Review and redistribute category allocation per needed that brings minimal disruption to work, activities and in the regular business undertakings of the company.
  • Pro-actively communicate information to relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Review, Approve or Reject all sourcing transactions
  • Achieve delivery of all Procurement KPIs targets
  • Conduct supplier management and identify new best in class suppliers, locally or overseas
  • Manage local budgets and contribute to Company targets
  • Ensure sourcing, purchasing, company, Procedures and Policies adherence
  • Keeps the Head of Supply Chain informed of all Procurement concerns and important issues
  • To serve as an informational hub for materials knowledge in the company
  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience in the field of business, logistics, or transport
  • Procurement background is a must and has handled people
  • Excellent in communication skills
  • Knowledgeable with IT Systems/ Programs Savvy (Spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint Presentation, ERP)
