About the job Head of Procurement
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day operational requirements of Procurement and Purchasing activities
- To provide strategic procurement direction and ensure effective implementation thereof
- To represent Procurement to internal and external stakeholders in meetings and discussions on topics and concerns related to procurement, sourcing, supplier engagement and performance, purchasing and its staff
- Can cover for any of Sourcing Lead, their duties and responsibilities, activities, meetings and other business related engagement
- Review and redistribute category allocation per needed that brings minimal disruption to work, activities and in the regular business undertakings of the company.
- Pro-actively communicate information to relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Review, Approve or Reject all sourcing transactions
- Achieve delivery of all Procurement KPIs targets
- Conduct supplier management and identify new best in class suppliers, locally or overseas
- Manage local budgets and contribute to Company targets
- Ensure sourcing, purchasing, company, Procedures and Policies adherence
- Keeps the Head of Supply Chain informed of all Procurement concerns and important issues
- To serve as an informational hub for materials knowledge in the company
- Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Relevant work experience in the field of business, logistics, or transport
- Procurement background is a must and has handled people
- Excellent in communication skills
- Knowledgeable with IT Systems/ Programs Savvy (Spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint Presentation, ERP)
