Position Summary

Our client is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanical Engineers for its Mechanical Service Shops Department (MSSD) in Abqaiq, Dhahran, and Jeddah. As a member of MSSD, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling a range of rotating equipment, including air instruments, steam turbines, gas compressors, gearboxes, pumps, and valves. The primary focus of MSSD is maintaining our client's rotating and stationary equipment, providing crucial support to all field organizations through equipment maintenance and repair. Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, as outlined in the position description;
  • Experience in mechanical design, troubleshooting, and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment;
  • Experience with original equipment manufacturing facilities or equivalent certified repair facilities;
  • Proficiency in English reading and writing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment;
  • Offer technical consultation to repair units and contractor shops;
  • Support field installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment;
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment, identifying cost reductions and process improvements;
  • Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment;
  • Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs, identifying root causes of failure and corrective actions;
  • Introduce the latest repair methodologies and technologies;
  • Develop and revise technical procedures and standards;
  • Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to junior engineers, quality inspectors, and technicians;
  • Offer technical input for purchasing specifications and evaluate technical proposals;
  • Collaborate with department engineers, consulting services, other departments, and manufacturers;
  • Coordinate with repair units, quality assurance units, contractors, vendors, and manufacturers in developing, evaluating, and implementing repair scopes;
  • Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
