About the Role
We are seeking an experienced System Integration Technician (SIT2) to support the installation, testing, and validation of complex operational systems and software within a secure environment. In this role, you'll lead efforts to integrate multiple operating systems and ensure full system functionality across all hardware and software components. You'll also act as a key technical resource for the team, ensuring compliance with installation standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety codes.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a technician who thrives in high-stakes, mission-critical environments and enjoys building, testing, and optimizing systems that support national security objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Install, test, and validate operational equipment and software according to installation standards, safety codes, and manufacturer guidelines.

Maintain a broad technical knowledge of the system and its subsystems to support integration and testing efforts.

Build and configure systems according to technical drawings and documentation.

Run and label cables, rack hardware, load operating systems, install applications, and perform quality assurance testing.

Develop and execute integration and test strategies, including test plans and scripts.

Perform end-to-end system testing, ensuring reliable performance and compliance with specifications.

Act as a lead technician for system production and integration activities.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
-
Bachelors degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field
OR equivalent combination of training and experience -
10+ years of hands-on experience integrating systems using multiple operating systems.

Proven experience with full lifecycle system integration, including:

Hardware installation and configuration

Cabling and labeling

Operating system and application installation

Quality assurance and validation testing

Developing and executing integration/test strategies and documentation

Desired Experience

3+ years of direct experience supporting an Intelligence Community (IC) or Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) organization.
