Network Operations Engineer (Onsite, 9pm - 7am, Sun-Weds)

Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 9:00 p.m.7:00 a.m. EST

Were seeking an experienced Network Operations Engineer to support and maintain complex, high-security network environments. This position is onsite at a client facility in Martinsburg, WV and requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve service requests through a ticketing system.

  • Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls using command line interface.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using network management tools.

  • Support the configuration of ACL rules, VPNs, and firewall security for enterprise-level operations.

  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure secure, stable, and efficient connectivity across sites.

Basic Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of IT/networking experience, or Bachelors in Computer Science/Electronics Engineering and 5+ years of experience.

  • Ability to configure Cisco devices via CLI.

  • Experience using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, nGenius).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

  • Ability to earn one of the following within 6 months of hire: CCENT, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE.

Preferred Experience

  • Configuring Palo Alto ACL rules and site-to-site VPNs using Cisco devices.

  • Experience with Cisco ASDM, NetScaler, Citrix Access Gateway, or Cisco AnyConnect VPN.

  • Knowledge of multi-area OSPF, BGP, and MPLS topologies.

  • Familiarity with packet capture and analysis tools on Palo Alto firewalls.

This is an 11-month contract with the possibility of extension.
