Network Operations Engineer (Onsite, 9pm - 7am, Sun-Weds)
Job Description:

Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 9:00 p.m.7:00 a.m. EST
Were seeking an experienced Network Operations Engineer to support and maintain complex, high-security network environments. This position is onsite at a client facility in Martinsburg, WV and requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and resolve service requests through a ticketing system.

Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls using command line interface.

Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using network management tools.

Support the configuration of ACL rules, VPNs, and firewall security for enterprise-level operations.

Collaborate with operations teams to ensure secure, stable, and efficient connectivity across sites.
Basic Qualifications

HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of IT/networking experience, or Bachelors in Computer Science/Electronics Engineering and 5+ years of experience.

Ability to configure Cisco devices via CLI.

Experience using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, nGenius).

Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Ability to earn one of the following within 6 months of hire: CCENT, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE.
Preferred Experience
-
Configuring Palo Alto ACL rules and site-to-site VPNs using Cisco devices.

Experience with Cisco ASDM, NetScaler, Citrix Access Gateway, or Cisco AnyConnect VPN.

Knowledge of multi-area OSPF, BGP, and MPLS topologies.

Familiarity with packet capture and analysis tools on Palo Alto firewalls.
This is an 11-month contract with the possibility of extension.
