Production Planner (Semi-Finished Goods)
Location: Sheboygan, WI
Reports to: Director of Supply Chain Planning
Job Description:
Develop and manage the execution of a short- to medium-range semi-finished goods production plan across all internal Fresh and Fully Cooked production facilities.
Leverage your understanding of the manufacturing network to create a semi-finished goods plan which supports finished goods production needs at an optimized cost
Develop and execute planning strategies and ensure adherence to the semi-finished goods plan
Maintain Supply Network Planning master data (material, resource, inventory) in the planning system for semi-finished goods materials
Develop the plan and coordinate the execution of weekly and monthly meat and formulation needs across all internal production facilities
Partner with other functional areas to develop an optimized meat plan based on cost, demand and capacity
Monitor functional metrics for attainment, ensuring performance to plan and addressing gaps with the appropriate operations resources
Serve as Supply Chain lead for cross-functional projects and initiatives
Execute capacity modeling as part of weekly tactical planning and monthly IBP process
Create and maintain exception reports to proactively identify planning gaps
Qualifications:
BS/BA - Supply Chain or Operations Management is preferred; but will consider significant relevant experience
Must have 3 to 5 years experience in production planning, scheduling or operations leadership
Experience in CPG food industry strongly preferred
Experience with ERP systems required
Experience in sales and operations planning process preferred
Strong verbal/written communication skills required as well as an ability to manage priorities and deal with ambiguity
Demonstrated learning agility and ability to quickly build and maintain relationships
Ability to negotiate to gain acceptance for idea
