Family Medicine Physician — Float · Auburn & Grass Valley, CA
$261,600 – $324,350 a year · Full-time or Part-time
A well-established Tribal Federally Qualified Health Center serving Placer and Nevada counties is hiring a float family medicine physician to work across its Auburn and Grass Valley health centers. Roughly 50 years of continuous community service, about 25,000 active patients, and a third health center opening in 2027.
No panel. Predictable schedule. Outpatient only.
- This position does not carry a patient panel. You increase access and cover providers on leave across two sites.
- The schedule is regular and communicated in advance — not on-demand.
- Monday–Friday. No hospital call. Clinics run 8:00–5:00.
- Low physician-to-patient ratio — time to actually practice the way you were trained.

Requirements
- MD or DO with active California medical license
- Board certified in Family Medicine
- Current DEA registration
- Willing to work across both the Auburn and Grass Valley sites
- Comfortable practicing without a fixed continuity panel
- Comfortable documenting in an EHR (eClinicalWorks)
- Credentialing takes roughly 90 days and must be complete before start
