A well-established Tribal Federally Qualified Health Center serving Placer and Nevada counties is hiring a primary care provider for its new South Placer Health Center in Rocklin — a $58M, 62,000 sq ft facility opening in 2027. This seat is open to either a board-certified family medicine physician or a California AB 890 §2837.103 nurse practitioner.
Pay by credential (employer starting-salary schedule):
- Physician (MD/DO) — $261,600 – $324,350
- Nurse Practitioner, 103-licensed — $154,500 – $185,450
Important — where you start: You begin at the Auburn health center and transfer to Rocklin when the new clinic opens (target March 2027). Credentialing takes 45–90 days depending on credential, so we are hiring now.
What "103 NP" means
A California nurse practitioner certified under AB 890 §2837.103 — three-plus full-time-equivalent years and 4,600 transition-to-practice hours — who can practice without standardized procedures in a group setting alongside a physician. This is not a standard NP credential. If you hold it, this seat is built for you.

Requirements
- Physicians: MD or DO, active California license, board certified in Family Medicine, current DEA registration
- Nurse Practitioners: active California RN and NP licensure with §2837.103 certification, national FNP board certification, current DEA registration
- Comfortable documenting in an EHR (eClinicalWorks)
- Credentialing must be complete before start
