Requirements

  • Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice
  • 1 + YEAR/S ICU, emergency medicine,
  • U.S. only — we do not sponsor
  • Proven supervisory experience managing nursing teams in acute or long-term care settings
  • 1 + YEAR/S Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine immediate needs and ongoing care plans.
  • Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, medication administration via various routes, and specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and aseptic procedures during procedures like suturing, catheterization, and wound care to prevent infections.
  • 1 + year/s experience with health record (EHR) systems such as Epic.
  • ICU, emergency room, trauma centers (Level I & II), neonatal intensive care units (NICU), pediatric units, and outpatient clinics to coordinate patient care.
  • Conduct patient education on health coaching topics such as geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, pain management strategies, discharge planning, and post-acute care.
  • Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing and basic medical imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable.
  • Support triage processes in urgent care or emergency medicine environments to prioritize patient needs efficiently.
  • Implement infection control protocols aligned with hospital standards to ensure patient safety across all departments.
  • Engage in case management activities for complex cases involving long-term care residents or individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.

Experience

  • Proven 1 + year's experience in acute care settings such as ICU or emergency room environments with Level I or Level II trauma center exposure preferred.
  • 1 + years/s experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic.
  • Prior work in specialized areas such as cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), ophthalmology (including laser treatments), or hospice & palliative medicine is highly desirable.
  • Experience with pediatric nursing (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory care), behavioral health interventions, and home & community-based nursing is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for procedures, and HIPAA compliance is essential.
  • Critical care experience including ventilator management and acute pain management strategies will strengthen your application.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and diagnostic evaluation enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive patient assessments.
