About the job Technical Designer

We are looking for a Technical Designer with strong CAD and product documentation experience to support the development of hardgoods and home products. This role is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, 3D models, renderings, and production-ready documentation while collaborating with a global design team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and update 2D CAD drawings, 3D models, blueprints, dimensional layouts, exploded views, and assembly drawings
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, product specification sheets, and tech/spec kits
  • Produce high-quality renderings and prepare factory-ready drawing packages
  • Maintain drawing revisions, version control, and organized technical documentation
  • Support product development by identifying opportunities to improve manufacturability, construction, and assembly while maintaining approved design intent
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical drawings and documentation are accurate and production-ready

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in technical drafting, CAD development, product design support, industrial design support, or furniture/home product development
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks is required
  • Experience with 3ds Max, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Bambu Studio is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, 3D modeling, product specifications, and manufacturing documentation
  • Knowledge of furniture, consumer products, home goods, or hardgoods manufacturing is highly preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating relevant CAD and technical drafting experience are required
