As part of this strategic direction, they are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations across procurement, planning, logistics, and distribution
Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the companys supply chain operations, from planning and procurement to logistics and delivery. This role ensures operational efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence across the supply chain network.
The position will lead strategic planning, supplier management, and operational execution while driving continuous improvements in inventory management, procurement processes, and logistics performance. The role will also play a key part in aligning supply chain initiatives with business objectives, customer demand, and market dynamics.
Key Responsibility
Supply Chain Strategy
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with corporate objectives, market trends, and customer demand.
- Lead long-term planning initiatives to strengthen supply chain capabilities and support business growth.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Ensure optimal alignment between demand forecasts, production capacity, procurement planning, and inventory levels.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers and vendors.
- Lead supplier negotiations to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and sustainability compliance.
- Implement vendor performance management programs and supplier scorecards.
Inventory & Demand Planning
- Develop and maintain inventory strategies that balance cost efficiency with service level excellence
- Establish inventory policies, safety stock levels, and replenishment systems to support operational continuity.
Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
- Optimize freight management, transportation strategies, and warehouse operations.
Performance Management & Analytics
- Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance, including:
- Vendor scorecards
- Inventory turnover
- Lead-time performance
- Freight and logistics costs
- Order fulfillment and service levels
- Utilize data analytics to support strategic decision-making and continuous process improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Planning, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align supply chain activities with product launches, promotions, and lifecycle transitions.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain resilience and continuity.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and sustainability standards.
Process Improvement
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree is an advantage)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing end-to-end supply chain operations
- Strong experience in procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution, preferably within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in implementing S&OP processes, supply chain optimization, and cost reduction initiatives
- Strong data management and analytical skills, with the ability to develop KPI tools and drive strategic decision-making
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated experience in identifying operational bottlenecks, implementing scalable solutions, and driving process efficiencies
- Ability to balance cost management with superior customer service and operational excellence
- Willing to engage directly in operational supply chain activities when necessary
