Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist

Qashier is looking for a Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist to support our growth!

We are a dynamic and fast-growing team excited about commerce, retail, and payments and the opportunity to transform these industries with data and technology.

This role is an individual contributor role reporting to Group VP Finance. In charge of end-to-end accounting and finance for one of Qashiers international markets.

Key Responsibilities: 

Financial reporting and accounting:

• Responsible for end to end bookkeeping and to maintain accurate and timely financial records in the systems designated by management.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow statements within the deadlines established by management. Ensure monthly financial statements are in compliance with IFRS.
• Prepare monthly management reports, including time and budget variance analysis reports on P&L, BS and cashflow, and provide commentary as required by management.
• Reconcile intercompany balances between Qashier and other companies of the Qashier Group.
• Lead the preparation and submission of annual financial statements and coordinate with external auditors as necessary.
• Accurately monitor and record the companys inventory balances and costs.

AR/AP:

• Responsible for Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable processing based on company policy and SOP.
• Reconcile AR and receipts to ensure accounting records match with CRM and the billing platform.
• Reconcile AP and payments to ensure accounting records match with approved payables by management.
• Monitor and prepare AR aging reports on a weekly basis, proactively track major accounts and address issues to ensure timely collections.

Other:

• Oversee local outsourced tax provider in the preparation and filing of taxes such as SST, Withholding tax and corporate income tax. Liaise with government authorities and tax agent as needed.
• Responsible for the country's treasury and cash flow monitoring. Periodic forecasting and submission of funding requests to HQ. Liaise with banks and wallet companies as required by management.
• Liaise with corporate secretary for updating and maintaining corporate legal documents
• Undertake any other finance-related matters or ad-hoc projects
