🩺 Role Overview

A newly opened position for a Board-Certified Physician is available at a correctional healthcare facility serving both male and female residents. The role involves leading medical operations, delivering hands-on patient care, and ensuring high standards of clinical quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-ups

  • Provide leadership and direction to the clinical team

  • Perform minor and occasional major surgical procedures

  • Participate in treatment planning and team meetings

  • Ensure compliance with national healthcare accreditation standards

  • Maintain secure and confidential medical records

  • Manage medical emergencies and high-pressure situations professionally

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice in California

  • Board Certification required

  • Valid drivers license

  • Willing to work on-site at a detention facility
