Main Duties:

  • Act as the primary HR strategic partner for operational teams, providing expert guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Supervise and mentor HR Officers across various depots, ensuring consistency in HR standards and handling of operational tasks.
  • Partner with the Training Manager to manage disciplinary actions, grievance investigations, and complex employee relations cases.
  • Proactively identify potential HR challenges and collaborate with management to implement effective solutions.
  • Champion strategic HR initiatives, including employee engagement programs, wellbeing schemes, and organizational transformation projects.
  • Manage performance and workforce planning, including the maintenance of organizational charts, job descriptions, and the performance appraisal cycle.
  • Monitor compliance with statutory regulations, collective agreements, and HR policies across all operational sites.
  • Oversee the accuracy of HRIS data and prepare reports on employee relations and compliance metrics for management.

What skills do you need:

  • Tertiary level of education with a degree in Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR operations with a strong focus on employee relations and advisory.
  • Previous supervisory or team management experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Maltese Employment Law and industrial relations.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to coach and develop remote HR teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interview and negotiate effectively.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data management.

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
