Senior IT Officer

Industry: Financial Services / Banking
Location: Malta
Basis: Full time
Remuneration: Salary + benefits

Main Duties:

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot IT-related issues to ensure smooth system operation
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes, including access and account provisioning
• Support and maintain cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure and/or Oracle Cloud)
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, security, and availability
• Implement best practices for data protection, cloud security, disaster recovery
• Administer Microsoft tools (Intune, Exchange, Purview) and Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - ensure IT systems meet business needs
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
• Develop and maintain technical documentation

What skills do you need:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 4 years experience in IT support with a strong focus on cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud)
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, network fundamentals, and scripting for automation
• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies
• Experience in the financial services sector is considered an asset

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
