Junior/ Mid Financial Operations Officer

Main Duties:

• Process and monitor daily multi-currency incoming and outgoing payments (including SEPA, SWIFT, and card transactions)
• Assist in managing client balances, fund movements, and internal records within the core banking platform
• Perform regular reconciliations between core systems, bank accounts, payment schemes (e.g., VISA, Mastercard), and ledgers
• Promptly investigate and resolve any reconciliation breaks or transaction discrepancies
• Prepare and submit operational and regulatory reports for internal management and external authorities
• Liaise with partner banks and scheme operators to monitor settlement files, cut-off times, and rejects
• Support daily health checks and collaborate with IT on testing, upgrades, and incident management
• Identify automation opportunities and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

What skills do you need:

• Proven track record with payment platforms or financial reconciliations is advantageous
• Hands-on exposure to SEPA, SWIFT, or card settlement operations is a plus
• Strong understanding of banking and payment systems, including core data file formats (such as CSV, XML, and ISO 20022) and APIs is desirable
• Exceptional attention to detail, high accuracy, and strong analytical problem-solving skills
