Main Duties:

  • Spearhead the full recruitment lifecycle (strategy, posting, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding)
  • Implement strategies for retention of staff
  • Maintain legal compliance with Maltese employment law, manage HR documentation, contracts, and accurate employee records/HRIS data
  • Oversee the work/residence permit processes for non-EU/third-country nationals
  • Champion employee experience and engagement through initiatives, surveys, and promoting company values/culture
  • Manage employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with managers
  • Develop and implement employer branding strategies and manage effective internal communication channels
  • Supervise accommodation management and prepare HR/Recruitment reports and budgets for management
  • Drive and support HR projects focused on engagement, certification, and continuous improvement

What skills do you need?

  • Managerial experience (min. 3 years) in HR, recruitment, or a similar relevant role
  • Strong Leadership and Management abilities, including Process Management and Managing Change
  • Technical knowledge of Maltese Employment Law and in-depth understanding of the permit process and related Authorities
  • Demonstrated Business Awareness and a strong Drive for achievement
  • Proficiency in using and managing a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Fluent in both English & Maltese are required (Maltese is a requirement)
  • Excellent Communication skills, with Interpersonal sensitivity and Decidedness

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
