AML Compliance Manager

Main Duties:

• Review and approve all client onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and Customer Risk Assessments (CRAs)
• Verify customer identity, beneficial ownership, source of funds, and screening reports
• Oversee daily compliance operations, file structuring, and record-keeping policy adherence
• Prepare and review client transaction monitoring
• Prepare and submit data for key regulatory filings (e.g., REQ, MFSA, Accountancy Board returns)
• Review and recommend updates to the Groups AML/CFT Business Risk Assessment and CRAs
• Create, implement, and oversee all company compliance policies and procedures
• Develop and deliver compliance training; advise executive leadership on regulatory matters and GRC strategy
• Monitor business for compliance breaches, investigate violations, and report findings to management
• Monitor and train the compliance team; maintain accurate compliance records and internal registers (AML Software)
  
  What skills do you need:

• Bachelors or masters degree in law or criminology, banking or any other related field
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar role,
• Exposure to areas like corporate service provider, tax or audit firm will be considered as an asset
• A thorough understanding of the Malta Regulatory Compliance and AML/CFT regulations preferably in corporate service provider, tax or audit
• Distill regulatory guidance and audit findings to determine business impact. Critical ability to distinguish between regulatory requirements and compliance "best practices."
• Ability to be self-motivated and take ownership in a dynamic environment with a positive, can-do mindset.
• Excellent organisational skills and take pride in being quality-oriented with a keen eye for detail and coming up with creative solutions
• Must be multi-tasked-oriented and able to balance priorities and deadlines
• Be approachable and an effective communicator across all levels of the business and influence key internal and external stakeholders and provide expert advice to support the strategic agenda
