Are you a skilled aluminium welder or metal fabricator looking to join a specialist marine manufacturing team in Newcastle?

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading local boat builder known for producing high-performance aluminium vessels for clients in defence, emergency services, marine rescue and government agencies. With over 40 years in operation and a reputation for innovation and quality, this workshop is expanding its Carrington-based team due to strong project demand.

The Role:
You'll work as part of a close-knit fabrication team building custom aluminium boats. This is a full-time position offering a steady workload, opportunities for overtime, and the chance to be part of a long-established marine manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and welding of aluminium vessels

• Use of hand and power tools for cutting, forming, and assembly

• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings

• Working to high safety and quality standards

• Supporting general workshop duties as needed

What Were Looking For:

• Trade qualification (Cert III in Engineering Fabrication Trade) or equivalent hands-on experience

• Strong MIG welding skills with aluminium

• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines

• Marine fabrication experience is desirable but not essential
